CURRICULUM

He has been on the scene since 1985:  he founded the experimental progressive group Eris Pluvia with whom he has composed various sound tracks for theatre performances and shows.
Back in 1990 he recorded the Cd Rings of earthly light for the French label Musea, followed by many concerts all over Italy and France.
After leaving the band in 1993, he gives birth to the acoustical project The Ancient Veil followed by the Cd bearing the same name,  released in 1995 for Mellow Records.

In 1993 he founds the main project of ethnical music band Avarta. Together they take part in various concerts in Italy and in the most important ethnical festivals abroad. He records the Cd Terre (1998, self-produced),Cocci di Mare (2000, World Music), Avarta (2005 Insmonlight).
They are on tour from 2000 to 2003 as a cultural promotion of the city of Genova, “European Capital of Culture in year 2004”.
The band Avarta can count on the precious contribution of top musicians such as  Mario Arcari, Riccardo Tesi, Arup Kanti Das, Eugenia Amisano, Claudio Fossati and many more…
From 1994 to 1999 he participates in various productions for the same label, Yellow Records
(Finisterre, In Limine, In ogni luogo, Hostonaten 1, 2).

Early 1996 he founds the Irish music group Singing Pub, with whom he has been touring for four years, by playing in many Celtic festivals all over Italy.
In the same year he joins the traditional Irish music group Comunn Mor with whom he takes part in many Celtic folk festivals on a national level and he records “Mag Mor” (’04 Ethnosuoni). 

In 1997 he joins the band Charta de Mar: together they create Cd "Il gioco dell’angelo" for the Manifesto and carry out a massive concert activity, including the Biennale of Rome, in 1999.
In the month of June he joins the traditional Piemontese music group Le Vijà, run by Maurizio Martinetti: with them he plays a lot of concerts in Northern Italy and realizes the Cd Cadrega Furia (Ethnosuoni).
In 1998, he takes part in Arezzo Wave Festival with folk-rock group Malasuerte.

Over the last years he has been collaborative with many folk music bands in the North of Italy.
In year 1999 he start a collaboration with accordeon  player  Filippo Gambetta, he takes part in his first cd Stria (Felmay) and founds the band Bandabandiani: with them he participates in several international festivals and obtains very important recognitions (Biberach in Germania, Kaustinen in Finlandia…); together they play more than a hundred concerts in Italian shows.
In 2000 he joins the band of  Federico Sirianni; the Molotov Orchestra collaborates in Cd’s Onde Clandestine (Warner) & Dal basso dei cieli (Upr).
In 2004 they receive the music criticism award in Recanati and Mantova and in 2006 they receive the Bindi award .

He then joins the balcanic-yiddish music group Orchestra Bailam.
Up to now he has been playing (concerts and theatre exhibitions) all over Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Scotland (Butterfly Bazar, Moka Cabaret, Il mare negli occhi, for Chance Eventi).
In year 2001 they record the Cd Bailamme (World Music) and in 2006 the CD Non Occidentalizzarti (Felmay) follows.
He plays for the project Argilla, a group devoted to Arabic-Middle Eastern research.

Since 2002 he has been playing with  Vittorio De Scalzi from New Trolls in the representation “Il Suonatore Jones” directed by Pepi Morgia; with De Scalzi he takes part in the  Cd Nobody’s land - act one and start a live collaboration with guitar player Armando Corsi.
In year 2004 he found the rock group Arancia Balcanika with whom they tour a lot.

Over the last years, he has been actively taking part in several record productions, among them: Vittorio De Scalzi - Mandilli. Max Manfredi - L’intagliatore di santi.
Giampiero Alloisio - La rivoluzione c’è già stata e Storia della meraviglia. Tony Esposito - Viaggio Tribale. Mario Arcari - Genoa Bestial Market.
Riki Avataneo - I falò. Matteo Merli - A violetta di Caroggi. Antonella Serà - Oro & Blu ecc…
He starts to collaborate in the recording of cinema, theatre and TV sound tracks with Pivio e Aldo De Scalzi (Per sempre, Noi, Il tunnel della libertà, Amore estremo, Distretto di polizia, Barbarossa, Si può fare ecc…) and Paolo Traverso - “Balance” Rigolo.
In year 2005 he writes and executes the live music for the show "Esistenza, soffio che ha fame", with Carla Peirolero, Roberta Alloisio, Don Andrea Gallo: this allows him to play all over Italy in very relevant theatre reviews.

In 2007 he works as a composer and artistic producer on the CD of “Roberta Alloisio & Orchestra Bailam”, produced by CNI. With the band he plays all over Europe for the “cultural promotion of the city of Genova”.
 
In 2008 he creates the theme for the representation “Giobbe si rivolge a Dio”, with and by Ugo Volli.
He joins the theatre group Compagnia Teatro Nudo with the role of musical director and
co-directs  ‘Fame di Carità’ (taken from Orgia by P. P. Pasolini - 2008), ‘Giorni Felici’ (by. Beckett - 2009).

Since 2009 he has been playing with Ares Tavolazzi and Elias Nardi with the band Nadir ( ottoman repertoire) and joins the progressive group Picchio dal Pozzo, he records the CD of Max Manfredi “Luna persa”, winner of  ‘Premio Tenco 2009’, yet again and records and arranges the CD titled  “A Flutter And Some Words” by Ingrid Chavez.
Always in 2009 he produces the live CD of Orchestra Bailam 'Harem Bailam' for label Felmay.

In year 2010/2011 he composes the music to representation ‘Miele’ (taken from La prova del miele by Salwa Al Neimi) and  'Il bordello degli angeli' for the Compagnia Teatro Nudo, he composes the music for 'Diluvio' of Teatro Cargo, for Vittorio De Scalzi he records the cd 'Gli occhi del mondo' and for Cristiano Angelini 'L'ombra della mosca' winner or the plaque Tenco 'Miglior opera prima 2011', he plays for the theatre music of  'Roman e il suo cucciolo.

In addition to the above, he has played and recorded with Mario Arcari, Marco Beasley, Ellade Bandini, Antonio Marangolo, Edoardo Bennato, Claudio Lugo, Marco Fadda, Fabio Vernizzi, Adriano Mondini, Birkin Tree, Simona Barbera, Michele Ferrari, Fabio Rinaudo, New Trolls, Alessio Pisani, Silvio Peron, Claudio De Mattei, Danila Satragno, Andrea Zanzottera, Antonio Antoniucci, Giovanni Lo Cascio, Zita Pheto, Gianni Martini, Gabriele Ferrero, Bamby Fossati...
